Mix Tape is the answer to the question: What if we did it together?
What is it, you ask?
Everything.
Eating, living, working, learning, witnessing, breathing.
What if we did it all together?
And how much might that solve?
Mix Tape is a container: a space where dreams and visions come to life. Those dreams and visions are all geared towards the same goals: living in community with friends and neighbours, removing the existential dread of isolation, and coming together outside of the capitalist paradigm.
Right now, Mix Tape is starting small. We are hosting gatherings and events bringing people together with a common cause. Think of us like an extra living room, but shared with all your favourite people.

Why Mix Tape? Well, mix tapes are awesome. They come from an age of pirated music, lovingly collected and shared from one friend to another. They represent joy and friendship. They’re a perfect example of the gift economy but within the modern context of the capitalization of information. And while a lot of groups use the word “collective,” we prefer collection as a nod to the vast collections of mix tapes of our youth. Hence, the Mix Tape Collection.
